QSP 2016 (and beyond) Campaign Coordinator(s) –

We’re still looking for someone to chair the QSP Fundraising Drive for the new year. Historically this super simple fundraiser has raised an average of $10,000 or more for the school and it would be a shame to lose such a great way to earn money for things like school trips, computer and scientists in the school. The profits are also used directly for resources in the classrooms and fill our library magazine rack with great publications like National Geographic, Sports Illustrated and Owl which leaves more money for the library to purchase more books for the kids.

If you’re looking for a great (and easy) way to raise money for the school please consider chairing or co-chairing the QSP Fundraising Drive. It is simple, you have a ton of support from Jill Maslanka who is our QSP rep and there is a very easy to follow instruction manual to help with any questions.  With most of the orders being placed online it’s getting easier and easier to support the school and easier and easier to chair this rewarding fundraiser. You would need to be available during the day for about a month and you would want to have a team of 2 or 3 others to help with the day to day administration and distribution.

If you have any questions you can email Julie French at julie@shinyobject.ca

Pizza Friday Volunteers –

Pizza Friday is successful because of the great (and numerous) volunteers we have.  If you are able to help, please fill out your e-mail address on the order form (sent home with students first week of school) or e-mail kathy.narraway@rogers.com.  Volunteers are asked to be in the lunch room by 11:15 a.m. on Pizza Day.

Fall Fete Volunteers –

It definitely takes a village to successfully run this school fundraiser (that raises an average of $25,000 for the school per annum).  Event date and specific opportunities will be posted shortly.

*Please note:
Some positions may require a police background check which can be coordinated with the school, and paid for by the Parent Council.

Use our contact form if  you are interested in any of the above positions or if you’d like to volunteer your time at Howard School.   Your information will be sent privately to our Home and School Chair, not posted publicly on this site.
