We still need 150+ volunteers to have all areas of this HUGE FUNDRAISER running in full force! We need kitchen staff and and BBQ staff to ensure that we can feed the masses! We need many more volunteers to run the GAMES!
The success of the Fete depends on our volunteers. There are shifts for Adults, High School Students, Jr. High Students and Grade 5/6 Howard students. Fall Fete will take place Saturday, October 13th from 10:00am – 2:00pm. For returning families and those new to Howard, the Fall Fete is always a great day of family fun, as well as being one of the school’s top fundraising events ($25,000+)!
It takes a small army to run the Fete and our work starts now! We are looking for 250+ volunteers to pitch in before, during and after the Fete. The success of the Fete depends on our volunteers. The Michael Johnston Music Studio www.michaeljohnstonmusicstudio.com is proud to sponsor the Variety Show once again at this year’s Fall Fete!
Auditions for the show will be held on Tuesday, October 2nd and Wednesday, October 3rd at lunch time in the Music Room.
Students from all grades are welcome to audition. We will consider a live solo or group performance of any kind (musical, comedy, dance, magic, etc.) and there will musicians on hand to accompany you during the show.
The show will run for two 30-minute sets, for an hour in total. That means we have room for a total of about 20 performances (either group or solo), and we are hoping to include at least two from each grade.

This popular raffle can’t happen without contributions from our families! Donations of new items are collected, sorted and assembled into beautiful, themed baskets and raffled off at the Fall Fete.
Please send new items with your child – baskets are outside the office. Need some ideas? Themes from past years have included – arts & crafts, toys, games, books, sports related items, things for the BBQ, gourmet food & kitchen items, health & exercise, home office, home spa and beauty items, items for a movie night or a rainy day, items related to gardening, chocolates, candy, coffees, teas and other gourmet/luxury items. Please think of what you would like to win when making your donations!
Donate a bottle, then try your luck at winning a case!
Back by popular demand is the parents’ favorite Fall Fete event: the Wine Raffle! Pressed for time? This is a great way to make a Fall Fete contribution. Simply drop off a bottle of wine at the school office (please respect office quiet times). Pick a personal favorite, or something that you’d like to share (or win!). Bottle donations will be accepted from now until Friday October 12. All donations will be assembled into cases to be raffled off at the Fete. Last year ten lucky winners each went home with a case of assorted wines. Cheers!

*Basket Raffle Ticket Seller – morning
Please remember to check in and out at the volunteer table before/after your shift.

Only 50% of the volunteers positions have been filled…we still need 150+ volunteers to have all areas of this HUGE FUNDRAISER running in full force! We need kitchen staff and BBQ staff to ensure that we can feed the masses (and clean up after them)! We need ticket sellers for all the amazing raffles, games and crafts! We need people to run all the games so you can walk-away with prizes. Areas that are not staffed will not be operational during the Fete…this means no candy floss, no basket raffle, no toilet bowl toss
The success of the Fete depends on our volunteers. There are shifts for Adults, High School Students, Jr. High Students and Grade 5/6 Howard students.
