Howard Running Club

Dear Parents,

After a short break the Howard Running Club is back on a track. All running practices resume this week on Friday, January 11 for junior runners (grade 3,4,5 and 6), and on Tuesday, January 15 for primary runners (grade 1 and 2).

All runners are invited to get back to our running routine. Please remember to be in the gym at 7:45am ready to go. See you on the track.

Dance-a-thon!!!

Hello Howard Community,
With the arrival of 2013 comes the countdown to our DANCE-A-THON!!!
This year, the Dance-a-thon will happen, once again, on our 100th day of school, which is Friday February 8th, so be sure to mark your calendars.
Our pep rally will happen on Monday, January 21st, and on that day, pledge envelopes will go home and students can begin fundraising.
This will be my last year of organizing the Dance-a-thon, and so I’m looking for someone to take over!!  This fundraiser is very straightforward, and doesn’t require a great deal of work, so if you’re looking for a way to get involved, this might be for you!  Over the years, I have worked together with Presswood Entertainment, and their involvement and organization allows for easy work for only one or two Howard volunteers.  But if you have a vision of a new way to run the dance, then this is a great time to put your own spin on things.
Either way, if you’re interested in getting involved, please send me an email, and if you can help me this year, it will work to take the guess work out of next year’s event.
