The Howard Pizza Potluck Picnic was another roaring success — and rather than dampening everyone’s enthusiasm, the rain was actually cited as the reason for it being the best Pizza Potluck ever (by at least 2 kids anyway)!
But really, the success is thanks to you, our wonderful Howard community. As always, you stepped up with an endless assortment of delicious salads, snacks, entrees, and desserts. There was truly something for everyone. Master Mechanic came through with their generous donation of enough pizza to feed an army (for the SIXTH time in a row)! And let’s not forget everyone who helped out in some way, by making sure everything was set up, handed out, and put away.
We are also so grateful with how everyone fully embraced this year’s waste-free mandate. The unofficial estimate of garbage reduction was between 60 and 80%! Thanks so much for enthusiastically supporting Howard’s platinum eco-school status in this very important way and acting as role models to our kids on how we can live more sustainably.
ALSO: If you didn’t pick up your serving containers, you can pick them up in the school over the next week.
