The Home and School Council Equity Committee is so pleased to present an important anti-oppression workshop tomorrow, Tuesday, June 4th from 7pm – 9pm in the Howard PS Library. Join Máiri McKenna Edwards and Dr. Jasjit Sangha to discuss how to identify and respond to racism and discrimination in our everyday lives so that we can effectively and compassionately teach our children about it. As a community, we will deepen our understanding of racism and difference in what promises to be an engaging and hope-filled evening.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Participants will also be invited to come together again in a few weeks time to deepen relationships and extend this conversation.
