Hello Howard Community,
Mark your calendars…Fall Fete is coming October 13th 10am-2pm. Join us for a fun-filled day of bouncy castles, haunted house, cake walk, wine raffle and loads of great food. Rumour has it…Fry Daddies will even be back this year!
Planning is well underway, and we need a few key volunteer positions filled to round out our team. Many of our coordinators have been in these roles for years and they are looking to pass the torch to the next generation of parents. This is a great year to take a support role and learn the ropes so that that we continue to run this important school fundraiser for years to come.
Chez Howard Lunch Table
This is a crucial part of the Fall Fete. The FOOD! We have had an amazing duo organizing all of the generous donations from our Roncy restaurant partners for the past 8 years but they are looking for some eager foodie parents to partner with them and learn the ropes. If you love food this role is for you.
Trade Up Table
A kid favorite at the Fete. The Trade Up Table keeps them participating so they can come back for more! We have another long-time duo looking to pass the torch to another parent or two. Shadow our experts this year and then take the reigns next year. It’s a well-sugared machine ready to be taken over.
MC
Have you ever been told your voice should be on the radio? If so, you’re the person we’re looking for. We need an outgoing individual to act as our MC on the day of the Fete. The MC communicates timing for key events, announces raffle winners and generally rallies the crowds to excitement.

Fall Fete is our biggest fundraiser ($25,000+), and without your help, it won’t be as fun or successful. If you aren’t able to take on a bigger role this year, don’t worry, you can still contribute! There will be a volunteer website set up in the coming days where you can volunteer for a 2 hour shift. For those that sign up early, there will be an early bird draw of THREE 1 hour Registered Massage Therapy massages from Evolve Chiropractic.
There will also be a call for donations for: the basket raffle, wine raffle, etc. Stay tuned!
