A big thank you to all those parents who came out for the September school council meeting. So great to see so many new faces! The school council sends out a huge thank you to Linda Torry, Tory Millar, Jana Jedlovska and Zoe Traiforos for their service on the executive council over the last few years. We are pleased to announce your new school council executive is Sara Tweedie and Marcella Saitua as co-chairs, Laura Boudreau as Vice-Chair, Heath Feldman as Treasurer and Michelle McBride as Secretary. Please come out and welcome them at the October meeting.
October 18th is the next school council meeting.
We hope to see you all there as that is our budget meeting where we plan out our year’s spending. Each parent in the room gets a vote on where the money is spent. Traditionally we support the Arts Council, the STEAM Committee, Tech Committee, Sports, Mental Health and Well-being and Nutrition Committees as well as providing class room support and helping with extra curricular activities and social events. If you are interested in requesting funding for a committee or starting a new committee please email Michelle at mcbride.mclennan@gmail.com for more information. All existing committees please hand in your funding requests by October 6th.
