Cookie Fundraiser

Hey Parents!

The Nutrition Committee has sunk its teeth into one last project in an effort to finish the year off with a bang. We have our sights on replacing the decrepit fridge and stove in the school gym.  Yes, the kitchen that feeds our kids hot lunch, runs the Fall Fete, and could potentially be used for further nutrition educational programming for the kids.

Our goal is to raise $1500 to fund these purchases.

How will we do this? By collaborating with a local mompreneur who started New Moon Kitchen, an enterprise which makes the healthiest, school safe, cookies on this side of town. Normally sold at health food stores and other upscale markets, these cookies are delicious, nutritious and made from only the finest ingredients. Move over chips ahoy, there’s a new girl in town!!

For every box of cookies sold, Howard will receive $2 toward our new kitchen.

If you would like to contribute to the campaign, but do not wish to purchase cookies, you can donate through the Friends of Howard Trust.  Choose the “Appliance Purchases” fund.  You will receive a charitable donation receipt.  Please note: in the event that excess funds are raised or the appliance purchases are not completed due to insufficient funds, donations marked “Appliance Purchases” will be directed to Howard Home and School.

Stock up on your school and camp snacks now, knowing that you will be helping the nutritional facilities in your own school. It’s a win win situation. Stay tuned for a sample and forms coming home in your kids back packs this week.

Eat well!
