“Notes” from the Music Room

Help keep the music room clean! Please ensure that your child has indoor shoes that are left at school and can be worn when when your goes to music class!  Thank you!

The choirs are off to a great start, but we need your help. If you have a few minutes to spare on Monday afternoons, come to the music room at 3:30 and help set up 110 chairs for Jr. Choir practice on Tuesday mornings.

Also, we need someone with the equipment and expertise to record the choir for the TDSB Spring Festival Concert audition. This recording session will take place at one of the Tuesday morning rehearsals in November.
Please contact me if you can help with either of these jobs.

The Junior Choir schedule for Soprano and Alto sectional rehearsals on Thursday at lunch will be posted outside the music room. Remind you child to check the schedule on a regular basis. They should bring a lunch on the day that they have a sectional rehearsal. There is not enough time to go out to buy food.

Choir uniforms will be sent home with your child by the end of next week. There will be a $25 fee for lost or damaged uniforms, so please take care!

Our first performance will take place at the Remembrance Day Assembly on Nov. 11 at 10:45. Parents are invited to attend.

Our choirs will be singing the national anthems at a Toronto Marlies game on Sunday, Dec. 4 at 3:00 pm. Watch for further information and ticket order forms.
