We’re still looking for someone to chair the QSP Fundraising Drive for the new year. This time, it’s not just magazines! Historically this super simple fundraiser has raised an average of $10,000 or more for the school and it would be a shame to lose such a great way to earn money for things like school trips, computer and scientists in the school. The profits are also used directly for resources in the classrooms and fill our library magazine rack with great publications like National Geographic, Sports Illustrated and Owl which leaves more money for the library to purchase more books for the kids.
This fundraiser is unlike others in the school because everyone can participate in the giveaways and contests without families having to open their own wallets once again to help our school. Some of our top sellers have been families who bought very little for themselves but reached out to family, neighbours or the community to help support the school. This year QSP is offering more items such as e-books and they have also partnered up with Vesey seeds to sell bulbs and the fall is the perfect time to plant those and make your garden even more beautiful. There is a flyer showing all of the great products that QSP will be offering this year in addition to the magazines that many of you like to read.
If you’re looking for a great (and easy) way to raise money for the school please consider chairing or co-chairing the QSP Fundraising Drive. It is simple, you have a ton of support from Jill Maslanka who is our QSP rep and there is a very easy to follow instruction manual to help with any questions as well, not to mention how fun it is to distribute the prizes to the kids who worked hard and earned them. With most of the orders being placed online it’s getting easier and easier to support the school and easier and easier to chair this rewarding fundraiser. You would need to be available during the day for about a month and you would want to have a team of 2 or 3 others to help with the day to day administration and distribution. Gabrielle Ceresna would be available.
