Congratulations to the Primary and Junior Choirs for their fine performances at the Kiwanis Music Festival last week! The Junior Choir placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in their classes against very strong competition. They earned Gold standing with marks of 87, 88 and 88. The Primary Choir placed 2nd, also Gold standing with a mark of 87. Well done!
Many parents videotaped these performances. Please note that not all students have signed media release forms, therefore it is very important that these videos are not put on YouTube or other sites that the general public is able to access.
Junior Choir is over for this year as we continue to prepare for “Peter Pan”. Students in Junior Choir must return their choir vests ASAP. Please wash the vests and return to the music room in a plastic bag, labelled with the child’s name. Primary Choir students can hold on to their shirts until the end of the year as there is a possibility of one more performance in the June.
The Peter Pan Chorus will begin rehearsals on Tuesday, March 1st at 7:45 am.
