Choir practices will begin the first week back to school. We will be preparing for performances at the Kiwanis Music Festival. The Junior Choir will be performing on Monday, February 22nd and the Primary Choir on Friday, February 26th. More information and permission forms will be sent home.
There is not a lot of time for the Junior Choir to prepare, so choir members are encouraged to listen to other choirs and practice at home. Here are links to videos to four of our songs. You will also see many other versions of these songs, but these are the arrangements that we will be singing. We will also be singing “Where Go the Boats” arranged by Mark Sirett. This is a newly published song and I was not able to find performances on Youtube. Visit mark.sirett.ca and you can listen to it on his website. As well they will sing “Les anges dans nos campagnes” which they performed at the concert in December.

A la claire fontaine (couldn’t find a choir performance, but it’s a very popular French folk song)
Finally, we need a fiddler to accompany “J’entends le moulin”. If anyone knows of someone who might be interested in doing this, please let me know. (High school students who need volunteer hours are welcome!)
Happy singing!
