Last year, our annual food drive, Howard Helps Hunger, collected over 3 FULL BOXES of items and $1100 for the Daily Bread Food Bank! We should all feel proud of our great contribution to such an important community resource.
Once again, we are asking you to raid your pantries to fill the three Daily Bread food bins that are outside the office until Friday December 18th at lunch. Like last year, anyone who brings in non-perishable items to the Holiday Concert will receive a raffle ticket to win a prize at the end of the concert. In addition, the Home and School Association is assisting by collecting cash donations at the concert to go toward the Daily Bread Food Bank.
Items that are most needed for the Daily Bread Food Bank include non-perishable items such as canned fruits & vegetables; dried pasta & tomato sauce; baby formula & food; cans of soup or hearty stew; peanut butter; canned fish & meat; canned, powdered or Tetra Pak cartons of milk; and rice, beans, & lentils.
Events such as the Howard Helps Hunger food drive provide an emergency supply to help people manage on low incomes or in a time of crisis. Let’s work together to make a difference in our community!
Thank you for your generosity!
