Hello Howard Families!
The orders are in and the prizes from the Pick A Prize sheets have been ordered and all of the things your kids worked so hard for will be shipping to the school very soon. Because of their efforts we raised over $10,000 this year! We are a little down from previous year but, like most fundraisers, there are ebbs and flows so we’re hoping for another successful year next year.
With the profits this year we can, once again, fill up the library shelves with the kids’ favourite reads and put a magazine in each classroom. Since we couldn’t have the assembly this year a lot of kids don’t know that the top selling classes get to see “Rise Above”…an exciting BMX show in the gym on Tuesday, November 17th. They teach safety and respect for others in an exciting assembly and we’re looking forward to seeing them!
I am still looking for either a Chair or Co-Chair for next year. This is a wonderful fundraiser, easy to run, fun to do and the best part is…you don’t have to spend a dime to support it! It would be a shame to lose it so if you would like to see how it all works please contact me julie@shinyobject.ca and we can have a conversation on how we can raise money for our school for the things the kids need.
