Last week the Home and School Council met and elected a new executive. Returning as co-chairs are Linda Torry and Michelle McBride. Sara Tweedie is the new vice-chair, Tory Millar the new treasurer, and Zoe Traiforos the new secretary. We welcome Candice Levine as the Arts Council Chair, Kathy Narraway as the Sports Council Chair, Elise Beauvais as the Environment Committee Chair, and Dorothy Chen as the Tech Council Chair. We welcome back Mr P and Madame Bryan as our teacher reps. Thanks to everyone for coming out to the meeting! Minutes will be posted soon for those looking for more details.
Our budget meeting is on October 21st at 7 pm in the library. To help us to determine where to spend our fundraising dollars, we ask interested teachers, staff, parents, committees to submit a request for funding by October 1st to give us time to organize the proposals and to get them out to all parents prior to the meeting. Please fill out the attached funding request form and submit it to the Home and School folder in the office or email it to mcbride.mclennan@gmail.com.
