First Home and School Meeting – Wednesday at 7pm

Our first home and school meeting of the year is on Wednesday September 16th at 7pm in the library.  The School Council is a forum where parents, caregivers, the principal and others meet to discuss school issues and ways to improve the school. The School Council also fundraises to help provide classroom support, arts programs, chess and other clubs, and science in the school to name a few programs. Our volunteers also organize special events at the school including the Fall Fete, the year end pizza potluck, and grade 6 graduation.  Our main fundraisers are the Fall Fete (October), the magazine drive (September-October), Pizza Fridays, and the dance-a-thon (February).  At the September meeting we will be electing a new executive committee, including a chair/co chairs, vice chair, treasurer, and secretary. Each member at the school council meetings has a vote so please come out to our meetings.
