Have a resolution to get more involved in your child’s school? Looking for a fun and dynamic way to connect with the school and community and raise funds to enrich your child’s education?
Have we got a volunteer position for you!
Did you know that Fall Fete 2014 raised over $27,000 for the school? What a wonderful tradition to get involved in!
After two fulfilling years as co-chairs of the Annual Howard Fall Fete, Treva & Stacey are moving on to other roles within the Howard community. We are looking for two energetic and enthusiastic people who would like to take over the helm. The bulk of the committee is already confirmed for next year and after decades of success, the Fall Fete practically runs itself. We are here to guide you and pass on the helmet of knowledge (with relevant files, of course).
What does the role of Fall Fete Co-Chair involve? Working with a partner (and guided by the former chairs), you will organize and run the 2015 Fall Fete including: overseeing and communicating with the subcommittees, ensuring that tasks are completed and deadlines are met; coordinating with administration; communicating with the Howard community about the Fall Fete; assisting with set-up and tear-down and ensuring that the event runs smoothly and successfully. A passion for the school and organizational skills are essential and a desire to have fun in this worthwhile role is a necessity. Planning begins in late spring for the Fall Fete in October 2015.
We’ll be at the next Home & School Association Meeting on Wednesday, January 21st at 7pm in the library. Please come and find out more or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
