This Wednesday (November 12th), kids in grades 3-6 will be attending the play “Frenemies” at school.
Frenemies is Mixed Company Theatre’s brand new anti-bullying play developed by recent winner of the RBC Arts Professional Award, Andrea Scott. This play follows a young student named Leah and her struggle to fit in at a new school after a family tragedy. This production explores the themes of toxic friendships, peer pressure, and isolation.
We wanted to let parents know about this play in case your children come home with any questions or if parents want to use this as an opportunity to discuss some of the issues around bullying.
November 16th – 22nd is Bullying Awareness Week and hopefully this play will serve as a great starting point for discussion and learning.
