Choir rehearsals are off to a great start and several performances are planned for the next few weeks. On the morning of Tuesday, November 4th, the Junior Choir will sing at a special celebration to honour long-time school trustee, Irene Atkinson, who is retiring this year. Choir members have received a permission form which must be returned to Ms. Spademan no later than Wednesday, October 29th.
Both choirs will be performing at the school Remembrance Day Assembly on November 11th at 11:00 am. Family members are invited to join us. Any past or present members of the Canadian Armed Forces who would like to participate in the ceremony are asked to contact Ms. Spademan or Mme. Wessenger-MacDonald.
The Primary Choir has been invited to sing in December at a holiday luncheon organized by Emmanuel Howard Park United Church. More details will follow.
The December Holiday Concert will take place on the evening of Wednesday, December 17th at 7:00 p.m. Again both choirs will perform along with the Senior Band and several Primary classes.
Finally, parent volunteers are always needed to support the choirs. You can help by: setting up chairs on Monday at 3:30, accompanying the choirs on excursions, setting up the risers in the gym before performances. Please contact Ms. Spademan if you are able to help in any way.
