We are thrilled to welcome The Groove EDGEucation back to Howard Public School on Tuesday, October 21st (Grade 5-6) and Friday, October 24th (grade 1-4). Our students will be participating in their “GROOVIN’ KIDS” (gr1-gr4) and “I’m a GROOVER” (gr5-6) Workshop Programs, which focus on character and community building while addressing Dance and Health & Physical Education. The Groove EDGEucation will be leading the workshops in an engaging and inclusive way through dance\creative movement exploration!
The GROOVIN’ KIDS Workshop Program focuses on creating a safe space for all students to explore physical, social and emotional health using movement and creativity. Students will get active, practice creativity as well as building their self-esteem and community with their fellow students. Students will participate in a variety of dance styles including; Hip Hop, Latin, Country, Bhangra, Krump and more! The I’m a GROOVER workshop has added discussions around character education and Bullying prevention themes such as self confidence, acceptance, inclusion and community.
Led by a team of teachers and educators The Groove EDGEucation leads hundreds of thousands of students in schools across Ontario each year and is excited to GROOVE with the students of Howard PS.
Each student is asked to pay $2 to help cover the cost of the workshop. Please send $2 by Monday, October 20th.
