Please join us at the last Home and School Meeting of the school year, Tomorrow on May 21 from 7-9 in the library. We are looking for as many people to join us as possible as we tackle the issue of technology in our school. Here is a blurb from our technology committee:
How do we best use technology to teach our students?
“Technology” in our school is no longer just a question about what computers to buy. Today “technology” is a larger topic and it includes new ways of learning, the tools, dealing with information and new ways of teaching.
The Howard Technology Committee, a cooperative group of Howard administration, teachers, and parents have been working diligently over the last few months to develop a five year strategy for technology at Howard. We invite all parents to join us at the Home and School Meeting to hear about our recommendations and provide input. The plan will require a significant commitment of time, dedication and money (from both the school budget and fundraising from our parent community). Please join us and help us develop this extremely important initiative for our school community.
We will also be voting on funding to our arts council so they can book programs for the fall. I hope to see you at the meeting.
