We hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend! Hard to imagine that with spring barely upon us we are already talking about Fall Fete in October 2014.
The Howard Fall Fete engages our school community in a single-minded pursuit of fun and funds. Last year the Fete raised over $25,000! This money is used by the Howard Home and School Association to provide funds for your child’s field trips, scientists in the classroom, new books, etc.
We have a number of wonderful volunteers who are returning to help with Fete 2014. However we still have a few key roles that remain vacant. Please give some thought to volunteering this year. It is a great way to connect with the Howard Community and your kids will think you are the best.
Graphic Design (using CS6)
Set-up & Take-Down Coordinators
Lunch Table Committee
Trade-Up Table Coordinators
Used Costume & Book Sale Coordinator
Bouncy Castle Coordinator
Fish Pond Coordinator
High School Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator
Not sure you can commit this year but want to learn more? Please consider shadowing our current volunteers and learn the Fete ropes. Shadowing will ensure a smooth transition as many of our tremendous volunteers “graduate” from Howard in 2015.
If you are interested in working on the Fall Fete or want more information on the above roles, please contact Treva Thompson (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Stacey Kushnir (email@example.com). We will hold our first planning meeting in early May.
As always, please share your ideas about the Fall Fete, changes or improvements you’d like to see or things you really like and would like to keep the same. The Fall Fete is, above all, an illustration of our school community coming together – something at which Howard excels. We look forward to working with all of you to continue this tradition of success.
